Alex Cobham will take over as executive director of the Tax Justice Network, the advocacy group announced today.

Cobham has been TNJ’s director of research since January 2015. He will replace the group’s founding executive director, John Christensen, who held the role since 2003.

The Tax Justice Nework is comprised of researchers and activists concerned about tax avoidance and tax evasion, including the role of tax havens.

The group has promoted initiatives such as country-by-country reporting, automatic exchange of financial information, and the institution of public registers of ultimate beneficial ownership of companies and other entities.
