The US Treasury Department today updated its FATCA website, reporting that Bahrain and the US signed a Model 1 intergovernmental agreement (IGA).
Bahrain and the US previously agreed to a FATCA IGA “in substance,” and Bahrain has been treated as if it has had an IGA in effect as of June 30, 2014.
