Singapore and Gabon sign tax treaty

The governments of Singapore and Gabon on August 28 signed a comprehensive tax treaty, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore has announced.

The agreement addresses withholding tax rates for cross-border transactions involving the two countries’ residents and contains modern tax treaty provisions including provisions aimed at curtailing tax treaty shopping.

The Singapore-Gabon tax treaty is not yet in force as it still must be ratified by the two governments.
