Germany had the greatest number of unresolved mutual agreement procedure (MAP) cases among OECD countries during the 2014 reporting period, according to OECD statistics released October 23 .
Germany reported 1029 unresolved cases, followed by the US with 956, France with 549, and Belgium with 492.
Germany also had the greatest number of new MAP cases in 2014, acquiring 374 cases during the period, followed by the US with 354 new cases, Belgium with 205, and France with 201.
According to the OECD, MAP inventories in all the OECD member countries combined showed a continuous increase from 2006 to 2014, with a slight decrease in 2010.
The statistics also showed that average time to complete a MAP case was slightly increased for cases completed, closed, or withdrawn in 2014 as compared to 2013, for those countries reporting the data, the OECD said.
In addition to publishing the MAP caseload of OECD member countries, the OECD provided data on partner economies of Argentina, China, Latvia, Costa Rica, and South Africa.
