Montenegro joins the Inclusive Framework on BEPS to fight MNE tax avoidance

Montenegro has become the 136th country to join the Inclusive Framework on BEPS, a coalition of countries that have pledged to adopt minimum standards set out in the 2015 OECD/G20 base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan, the OECD today announced.

The BEPS minimum standards are designed to prevent tax avoidance by multinational corporations and improve cross-border tax dispute resolution.

As a member of the Inclusive Framework, Montenegro can also participate in international discussions on how to update to the international tax and transfer pricing rules in a coordinated way to better account for newer digital business models.
