The OECD today announced that Jordan has become the 135th country to join the “Inclusive Framework on BEPS.”
This OECD-led group of countries is working to achieve consensus on a rewrite of the international tax and transfer pricing rules to better account for the digitalization of the economy.
As a member of the Inclusive Framework, Jordan has pledged to adopt minimum standards designed to curtail tax avoidance by multinational groups and aid in more swiftly resolving cross-border tax disputes. These standards were developed and agreed to by OECD and G20 countries in 2015 as a result of the base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan.
