The governments of Japan and Argentina have agreed in principle to the terms of a tax treaty between the two countries, Japan’s Ministry of Finance announced December 3.
According to the Japanese government, the new tax convention “includes provisions for the purposes of clarifying the scope of taxation in the two countries, eliminating international double taxation and preventing tax evasion and avoidance, and is expected to promote further mutual investments and economic exchanges between the two countries.”
