Hong Kong-Saudi Arabia tax treaty enters into force

Hong Kong’s Inland Revenue Department today announced that a comprehensive tax treaty signed by the government of Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia will enter into force tomorrow, September 1.

The necessary ratification procedures have been completed, Inland Revenue said.

The Hong Kong-Saudi Arabia tax treaty was signed August 2017.

The treaty will have effect in respect of Hong Kong tax for any year of assessment beginning on or after April 1, 2019, the government said.
