Ecuador, Japan agree to terms of tax treaty

The Japanese government today announced that it has agreed in principle with the Ecuadorean government to the terms of a tax treaty.

The treaty clarifies taxing rights of the two countries and includes provisions for eliminating double taxation.

The treaty must still be signed by the two countries and other internal procedures must be completed before the agreement enters in to force.
