Armenia has joined the “Inclusive Framework on BEPS,” an OECD-led coalition of countries that aim to prevent tax avoidance by multinational corporations and improve cross-border tax dispute resolution, the OECD today announced.
Armenia is the 127 country or jurisdiction to join. Through joining the framework, nations commit to implementing four minimum standards agreed to by nations in 2015 as a result of the OECD/G20 base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan.
The minimum standards aid in countering harmful tax practices, combatting tax treaty abuse, establishing country-by-country reporting of multinational firm tax affairs, and improving dispute resolution mechanisms.
