A new tax treaty between the Isle of Man and the UK entered into force today, the Isle of Man government has announced.
The new Isle of Man-UK tax treaty replaces a treaty signed in 1955.
‘This agreement meets the latest international standards and includes a number of new provisions that will provide greater certainty for individuals and businesses, including a tiebreaker provision that will assist those taxpayers who are resident for tax purposes in the Isle of Man and the UK at the same time,” said Isle of ManTreasury Minister, Alfred Cannan MHK.
