The UK’s HMRC has released a revenue and customs brief concerning the impact in the UK of the European Court of Justice judgment in the Skandia America Corp. case.
HMRC said it is considering the decision and will provide a further update. In the meantime, businesses should continue to follow existing guidance.
The case concerns the interaction of VAT grouping rules on transactions between establishments of a business established both outside and inside Sweden.
