Singapore and Serbia sign income tax treaty

Singapore and Serbia have signed an income tax treaty, Singapore’s Inland Revenue Authority announced on May 3.

The treaty outlines the taxing rights of each country on all forms of income stemming from cross-border business activities, and reduces the double taxation of such income, lowering barriers to cross-border investment and bolstering trade and economic flows between the two countries, it said in a statement.

The treaty will enter into force after both countries ratify it.

The full text of the treaty is available on the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore’s website www.iras.gov.sg.
