Japan and Croatia have agreed in principle to a tax treaty, the government of Japan announced today.
The government said that the treaty will include provisions designed to clarify the scope of taxation in the two countries, eliminate international double taxation, and prevent tax evasion and avoidance.
The agreement is expected to promote further mutual investments and economic exchanges between the two countries, the Japanese government said.
The agreement has not yet been signed nor is it in force.
