Australia publishes tax bills of large domestic and foreign businesses

The Australian government on December 9 released its latest corporate tax transparency report, making public the 2014–15 tax details of 1,904 large companies. The purpose of the disclosure is to better inform the public debate about tax policy.

The report reveals the total income, taxable income, and tax payable of 1,579 Australian public and foreign-owned entities that have income of AUS 100 million (USD 74.8 million) or more. The same disclosures are made for 325 Australian-owned resident private entities that have income of AUS 200 million (USD 149.8 million) or more
