The OECD today announced that on Monday, October 12, it will provide an update of the status of ongoing global negotiations to revise the international tax system.
The update will be presented by Angel Gurria, OECD Secretary-General, and Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, and will be webcast live. The webcast can be accessed at this link
The OECD update is expected to address the outcome of a plenary meeting of the Inclusive Framework on BEPS, slated for October 8–9. The Inclusive Framework is a 130+ country coalition led by the OECD that is aiming to reach a consensus on updated international tax rules that more appropriately tax digital firms by year-end.
Documents related to the OECD international tax work, presumably the lastest drafts of Pillar one and Pillar two, will be available on Monday at this link.
Moreover, later that day OECD tax officials will present the latest installment of its Tax Talks webinar series, where it is expected that this release will be discussed in detail. A link to the presentation can be found here.
