Singapore, UAE tax treaty amended by multilateral instrument

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore has announced that amendments made by the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (multilateral instrument) to Singapore’s tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates took effect on September 1.

Singapore and the United Arab Emirates ratified the multilateral instrument on December 21, 2018, and 29 May 29, 2019, respectively.
