The US IRS today published final regulations on allocation of the credit for increasing research activities among corporations and trades or businesses under common control.
Final regulations were also released relating to the allocation of the railroad track maintenance credit and the election for a reduced research credit.
Temporary and proposed regulations issued in 2015 on these topics were adopted without change.
The Service said only one written comment was received on the proposed regulations relating to railroad track maintenance expenditures, which was not adopted.
