The UK government will publish draft tax changes for its next finance bill on July 6, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Mel Stride, announced June 11.
In a written statement to Parliament, Stride said that consistent with its new approach to tax policy making announced in 2010 and the new budget timetable and tax policy-making process, announced in 2017, the government will publish most tax legislation in draft form for consultation before it is presented to parliament.
The draft clauses will be accompanied by explanatory notes and tax information and impact notes. The government will also publish responses to its consultation on its website, Stride said.
