The UK’s HM Revenue & Customs on January 8 announced that tax treaties with Croatia, Bulgaria, and Kosovo have entered into force.
The tax treaty with Croatia entered into force on November 19, 2015, and takes effect in the UK from April 1, HMRC said. The treaty, signed January 15, 2015, replaces a tax treaty with Yugoslavia agreed to in 1981.
The new tax treaty with Bulgaria, signed March 26, 2015, entered into force December 15, 2015, HMRC said.
The convention between the United Kingdom and Kosovo entered into force on December 16, 2015. The agreement was signed signed on June 4, 2015.
