The United Arab Emirates and Finland on March 27 signed an agreement on the exchange of information for tax purposes, the UAE Ministry of Finance has announced.
The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by Younis Haji Al Khoori, Ministry of Finance undersecretary, and Riitta Swan, Finland’s ambassador to the UAE.
Al Khoori said the agreement will help attract foreign investment to the UAE and will strengthen economic ties with Finland. “The Ministry of Finance is committed to implementing the highest standards of economic transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes,” Al Khoori said.
The UAE and Finland signed a tax treaty in 1996.
