Tan Ching Yee has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), Singapore’s Ministry of Finance announced May 29.
She will assume her new role on May 1, replacing Peter Ong Boon Kwee, who has been the IRAS chairman since 2009. Tan Ching Yee has held several high-level positions in the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Education. She has been Permanent Secretary of Health since 2012.
