Singapore-Latvia tax treaty protocol enters into force

A protocol amending the tax treaty between Singapore and Latvia entered into force on August 3, the Singapore government has announced.

The protocol, signed April 20, 2017, lengthens the threshold period for determining the presence of a permanent establishment and lowers the withholding tax rates for dividends, interest, ­­and royalties, the government said.
