Russia to adopt automatic exchange of tax information beginning 2018

Russia will begin automatic exchange of financial account information under the OECD/G20 Common Reporting Standard in 2018, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters November 17, Russian news agency TASS has reported.

“We have already prepared an order on automatic tax information exchange [and] will be ready to join this automatic information exchange mode from 2018,” Siluanov said.

Russia has recently begun sharing information under the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters. The agreement was ratified in Russia by a law signed November 3.
