Ponds leaves Ways and Means Committee for new tax role with Miller & Chevalier 

Loren C. Ponds has joined Washington DC firm Miller & Chevalier as a Member in the tax department, effective October 29, the firm has announced.

Ponds was Tax Counsel to the US House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, where she was instrumental in the development of the international tax provisions included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA).

Prior to that, she was with EY for 9 years, where she worked on transfer pricing issues in Germany and in the US.

In her new role, Ponds will assist clients with the implementation of the TCJA and other tax policy matters and on transfer pricing and other international tax issues.
