Poland is fourth country to ratify BEPS multilateral instrument on tax avoidance

The treaty, formally known as the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS, is designed to allow countries to easily add to their bilateral tax treaties additional provisions that curtail tax avoidance by multinationals and improve cross-border tax dispute resolution.

These measures were agreed to by nations in 2015 OECD/G20 base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan agreements.  In June 2017, over 70 Ministers and other officials signed the document. It has since been signed by eight more countries.

 

The agreement has already been ratified by Austria, Isle of Man, and Jersey.
