Nigeria’s Fowler reelected as head of African Tax Administration Forum 

Tunde Fowler, Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has been re-elected Council Chairman of the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) for a two-year term, according to an October 24 FIRS release. Fowler’s term will run from 2018–2020.

Established in 2009, ATAF provides a platform for cooperation among African tax authorities. Its aim is to promote efficient and effective tax administration in Africa. It is comprised of 38 member countries from Africa.

Fowler is also the first Vice Chairman of the UN Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters.
