The South African Revenue Service (SARS) on March 20 announced the appointment of Mark Kingon as acting Commissioner with immediate effect.
Kingon’s appointment was announced by the Minister of Finance, following the suspension of Tom Moyane as SARS Commissioner by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Kingon is formerly Group Executive: Relationship Management within Business and Individual Taxes (BAIT) and was recently appointed acting Chief Officer: BAIT following the resignation of Jonas Makwakwa last week.
