Manal Corwin to lead KPMG’s Washington tax practice

Manal S. Corwin has been named principal-in-charge of KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice, the firm announced November 8.

Corwin’s new role comes after serving for five years as national leader of KPMG’s international tax practice and as principal-in-charge of international tax policy.

Prior to that, Corwin was with US Treasury, where she served as deputy assistant secretary of tax policy for international tax affairs.

She was also principal in KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice from 2001–2009.

Corwin succeeds Joe Pari, who will return to private law practice.

“Manal brings to this position a unique combination of tax technical knowledge from both the public and private sectors, impressive professional achievements, and client service success for some of our firm’s largest and most prestigious clients,” said Jeffrey C. LeSage, KPMG’s Americas Vice Chairman—Tax.
