Malta and Curaçao sign double tax treaty

Malta and Curaçao signed a tax treaty on November 18, Malta’s Ministry for Finance has announced.

The agreement avoids double taxation and “is mainly based” on the OECD Model Tax Convention on Income and on Capital, though it includes “special provisions to cater for certain domestic taxation laws of both sides,” the Ministry for Finance said.
