Japan, Spain agree to new tax treaty

The governments of Japan and Spain have agreed in principle to the terms of a new tax treaty, Japan’s Ministry of Finance announced today.

The new treaty would replace the countries’ existing treaty, which entered into force in 1974.

The new convention will enter into force after the completion of the approval process in both countries.
