India-Kuwait tax treaty protocol enters into force

India’s Central Board of Direct Taxes on May 7 announced that a protocol amending the 2006 India-Kuwait double tax treaty has entered into force. The protocol, agreed to January 15, 2017, provides for exchange of information for tax purposes and allows for the sharing of that tax information with law enforcement officials and for tax purposes.
