First Look: UN tax expert committee holds nineteenth session

The UN Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters held its nineteenth session at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from October  15–19.

According to documents released in connection with the meeting, the Committee considered for the first time for approval and inclusion in the next version of the UN Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries new chapters on comparability and revised guidance on group synergies and centralized procurement functions. Also, a revised Chapter C.1 would merge and update former chapters on General Legal Environment on Establishing and Updating Transfer Pricing Regimes.

The meeting also focused on issues related to the next update of the United Nations Model Double Taxation Convention between Developed and Developing Countries.
