FASB appoints three members to small business advisory committee

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on April 20 announced the appointment of three new members to its Small Business Advisory Committee (SBAC).

The new members are Jessica R. Doran, Chief Financial Officer of Pzena Investment Management; Richard E. Forrestel Jr., the treasurer of Cold Springs Construction; and Jonathan Tomazic, a partner with Marcum LLP.

The committee gives the FASB feedback from the perspective of a small public company and assists it with other matters.

“Jessica, Richard, and Jonathan bring deep experience and unique perspectives to the SBAC on the financial reporting of smaller- and medium-sized businesses,” FASB Chair Richard R. Jones said. “I look forward to their contributions to SBAC discussions on how the FASB can best serve this important stakeholder group and its investors.”
