The OECD on July 10 announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina has joined the “Inclusive Framework on BEPS,” a group of now 131 countries working under the leadership of the OECD.
The Inclusive Framework’s aim is to reduce opportunities for multinational corporations to engage in tax avoidance and to improve cross-border tax dispute resolution.
In this regard, members of the framework have pledged to adopt minium standards developed by OECD and G20 countries in 2015 as a result of the base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan.
The Inclusive Framework countries are also trying to reach consensus on new rules to better account for the taxation of multinational operating in the digital sector.
