Belgium has deposited with the OECD its instrument ratifying the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI), the OECD today announced.
Belgium is the 89th nation to sign the global tax treaty, designed to limit tax avoidance by MNEs and aid cross-border tax dispute resolution.
The MLI will enter into force for Belgium on October 1.
