Jukka Karjalainen has joined Baker & McKenzie’s UK business transformation practice as a tax leader, the firm announced January 5. Karjalainen, a transfer pricing specialist, will be advising clients on the design, implementation, and defense of cross-border restructurings along with Baker’s corporate reorganizations practice group.
Karjalainen has over 20 years of experience, working most recently with Deloitte as a tax leader in the firm’s UK business model optimization practice and as partner in the London transfer pricing group. His clients have included businesses in industries such as metals, mining, telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals and he has practiced in a number of jurisdictions including Finland and Australia.
