UAE signs tax treaty with United Kingdom

The United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom signed a tax treaty on April 12 in Dubai, the UAE’s Ministry of Finance has announced.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the UAE by HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs. Lord O’Neill of Gatley, Commercial Secretary to the UK Treasury signed the treaty on behalf of the UK.

The agreement is designed to protect companies and individuals from double taxation.
