UAE, Denmark sign agreement on exchange of information for tax purposes, plan to discuss tax treaty

The UAE and Denmark on November 3 signed a tax information exchange agreement (TIEA) in Denmark during a UAE delegation tour of Scandinavian countries, according to the UAE’s official news service.

The agreement was signed by Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Karsten Lauritzen, Danish Minister for Taxation.

Danish and UAE officials also agreed to discuss opportunities for signing a tax treaty and an agreement on tax exemption for air transport.
