Scott Morrison appointed Australia’s Treasurer

Australia’s new Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced his new ministry on Sunday, including the appointment of Scott Morrison as Treasurer. Morrison replaces Joe Hockey, who is resigning from parliament.

Kelly O’Dwyer is the new Assistant Treasurer, which has been elevated to a cabinet position. In this capacity, O’Dwyer will be responsible for Australia’s tax system. She was also named Minister for Small Business.

Mathias Corman will remain Minister for Finance.
