The Philippines-Qatar double taxation agreement, signed December 2008, has entered into force as of May 19, the Philippines Bureau of Internal Revenue announced in a circular published November 2.
Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 72-2015 states the treaty will have effect for taxes covered by the agreement, including withholding tax paid to nonresidents, for taxable periods beginning after January 1, 2016.
