Jenny Austin has joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius as a partner in Chicago, the firm announced August 21.
Austin, a former Baker & McKenzie partner, focuses her practice on tax controversy. She also assists clients with all aspects of transfer pricing and with US and international tax issues.
“Our clients will benefit immensely from Jenny’s first-rate knowledge and extensive controversy experience representing companies in complex issues and across numerous industries, particularly those with significant intellectual property interests, including medical device, pharmaceutical, and technology companies,” said Barton W.S. Bassett, who heads the firm’s tax practice.
Austin’s move to Morgan Lewis follows that of Tom Linguanti, who is also a former partner with Baker & McKenzie.
“We have built a best-in-class practice in the tax controversy and transfer pricing areas, and Jenny and Tom’s arrival is further evidence of our ability to handle the most complex and significant matters for our clients,” said firm chair Jami McKeon.
