India’s Cabinet has today approved a protocol to its 1993 tax treaty with Belgium.
The protocol would extend the scope of the existing framework of exchange of tax related information between the two countries to fight tax evasion and tax avoidance.
The agreement would also revise existing treaty provisions on mutual assistance in collection of taxes.
