Iceland and UAE sign tax information exchange agreement

Iceland has signed a tax information exchange agreement with the UAE, completing an effort to sign such agreements with low-tax countries, Iceland’s Ministry of Finance announced April 12.

The agreement is the 44th tax information exchange agreement with a low-tax country, the ministry said.

The agreement will allow  Icelandic tax officials to verify information about Icelanders that own UAE companies and about any income earned by the owners, the ministry said.
