Martin Kreienbaum, Director General of International Taxation at the Federal Ministry of Finance, has been selected to chair the OECD Committee on Fiscal (CFA) affairs, the OECD announced June 30.
Kreienbaum will succeed Masatsugu Asakawa of Japan, who held the post since June 2011.
The CFA sets international tax standards, including work on the base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) plan, the OECD Model Tax Convention, the OECD transfer pricing guidelines.
Kreienbaum is currently Vice Chair of the CFA. He was appointed Director General of International Taxation at the Federal Ministry of Finance in 2011, and prior to that held a series of goverment posts.
