KPMG International has named William O’Mara as its new global head of audit, the firm announced on February 26.
Mr. O’Mara is a senior audit partner with KPMG’s US member firm and has extensive international experience through is work with large multinational clients. He assumes his new position at KPMG on March 1.
“Bill brings outstanding experience and qualifications to this role at a time when we are focused on continually improving audit quality and seeking to lead an unprecedented transformation to enhance the value of the audit for capital markets and investors,” said KPMG International Chairman John B. Veihmeyer.
O’Mara succeeds Larry Bradley, who led the practice since 2013. Bradley will act as global lead partner for one of KPMG US’s largest industrial audit clients.
