Ireland says tax treaty with Ethiopia entered into force, updates status of treaties with Ghana, Oman, South Africa

Irish Revenue has announced that a new double taxation agreement with Ethiopia entered into force on August 12.

The treaty, signed November 3, 2014, will enter into effect in Ireland on January 2, 2017.

The government also announced that negotiations with Ghana for a new tax treaty have concluded, and that a new treaty should be signed shortly. Negotiations for a new tax treaty with Oman and for a protocol with South Africa are ongoing.
