Singapore-Sri Lanka tax treaty enters into force

Singapore’s Inland Revenue Service today announced that a revised tax treaty with Sri Lanka entered into force on December 31, 2017.

The new treaty, signed April 3, 2014, lowers withholding tax rates for dividends and royalties, modifies provisions for determining permanent establishments, and provides for exchange of information for tax purposes.
