Shri Sushil Chandra on November 1 took over the role of chair of India’s Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the Indian government has announced. He replaces former CBDT chairperson Rani Singh Nair.
Shri Chandra has had a long career with the Indian Revenue Service. He has been a member of the CBDT since November 2015.
The CBDT, comprised of six members and the chairperson, is charged with the administration of taxes and setting tax policy in India
