Indian tax agency announces signing of seven more APAs

India has signed seven more unilateral advance pricing agreements (APAs) with multinationals, India’s Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) announced January 22.

The CBDT disclosed that the agreements are with companies in the manufacturing, investment advisory services, software development services, and IT enabled services industries.

To date, 38 unilateral APAs and one bilateral APA, have been signed by the India government. The CBTD said that 30 of those agreements were signed this fiscal year, and more are expected. India’s APA program was established in 2012.
